The Foundation can not give direct financial support for general purposes of cooperation. It provides technical, organizational and financial support for projects that are executed in cooperation with Christian Democratic and like minded organizations. In this context the Eduardo Frei Foundation closely cooperates with the European People's Party (EPP) and the Christian Democratic International (CDI).
