EPP Women videoconference: empowered women protect and preserve

In the times we are witnessing war on and nearby our continent, we as Europeans need to protect Europe. In our European security and defence policies the gender aspect cannot be left out. We are heading towards the European Elections. In our campaign we must bring over the message to our citizens that the EPP stands for Europe that can defend itself. And that the EPP supports those men and women who fight for Europe and its values. In our Colloque, we will be briefed by speakers with insight knowledge and experience in security and defense about women’s role in the military, conflict zones and peace negotiations.

Because of the gender aspect and the political urgency of security and defense, we have chosen to dedicate this year’s EPPW topic to female presence and participation in field of security and defense. We will draft a resolution on the topic to be submitted to the EPP Political Assembly for adoption by fall 2024.
